On 7 February, the Criminal Court of Appeals, presided by Judge Mnatsakan Harutyunyan, issued the ruling on the measure of restraint for the RA second President Robert Kocharyan.
The court decided to completely reject the appeals of Robert Kocharyan’s attorneys. The prosecutor on the case informed this. The second president of Armenia will remain in custody.
It should be reminded that on 18.01.2019 the decision of the First Instance Court satisfied the petition of the Special Investigative Service investigator to extend the term of Robert Kocharyan’s detention and to reject the defense motion to replace Robert Kocharyan’s arrest with a pledge of as an alternative measure. The defense group had filed an appeal against that decision of the Court.
