Yesterday, three political parties represented their candidates for the positions of the chairmen of 11 standing committees. According to the D’Hondt method (or the Jefferson method), the right to nominate the chairmen of the 8 of the 11 standing committees has the “My Step” Faction, which has the majority; 2 – the “Prosperous Armenia” Party and one – “Bright Armenia” Party.

Today, the National Assembly will elect.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport

Arman Yeghoyan , Standing Committee on European Integration.

Andranik Kocharyan, Standing Committee on Defense and Security.

Vladimir Vardanyan , Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

Varazdat Karapetyan , Standing Committee on Territorial Management, Agriculture, Environment and Sustainable Development.

Babken Tunyan , Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

Edmon Marukyan, a member of the “Bright Armenia” Faction, announced that Mane Tandilian’s  candidacy was nominated for the post of Chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.
