Former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia about the Court Decision on the Measure of Restraint against him

The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction issued a decision on the motion of the Special Investigative Service to consider the issue of choosing detention as a measure of restraint against the former RA Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan.

The court rejected the SIS petition, and and Armen Gevorgyan was not detained.

As we have already informed, Armen Gevorgyan’s accusation has been extended; accusation under a new article has been added. “Yesterday A new accusation has been filed related to the attempt to overthrow the constitutional order with accomplices, (Part 1 of Article 38-300.1 of the Criminal Code), particularly taking bribes by a state official in in large amount (Article 311, Part 4 (3) of the Criminal Code), and legitimizing (legalizing) illegally obtained income that ise money laundering (Article 190, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code).
