The topic of transitional justice is unfamiliar and interesting not only to professional circles, but also to the public.

The Acting First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this today at the Civil Society – Government Conference entitled “The Possibilities of introducing of mechanisms of Transitional Justice in the RA in the Light of the International Experience” organised within the framework of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project.

He noted that in the duration of many years massive violations of human rights have taken place in Armenia, and there were even bloody pages, and today we have possibility to disclose the truth.

“Let’s admit that few people in Armenia, even in the expert circles, knew what transitional justice is and how “they ate it,””

“Let’s face it, many people in Armenia, even in the expert circles, knew very little about what transitional justice is and what it is eaten with,” said Ararat Mirzoyan said.
