Neither my Hands are in Blood, nor there is Money in my Pocket: Eduard Sharmazanov

Holding extraordinary parliamentary elections in December is not real. Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov said this in the National Assembly today.

“Today everything is in the Prime Minister’s field. If he resigns, relevant developments shall proceed. It is not clear to me what has changed in 20 days. Some 20-25 days before the Prime Minister siad there should be elections in May, now he says in December. Yesterday I did not hear from the Prime Minister any reasoning why the elections should be held in December, but not in January or February,” he said.

According to him, no matter how many people are standing next to the Prime Minister, the National Assembly, according to the Constitution, is the legislative body of Armenia. “You cannot interfere with the work of the National Assembly by pressures and threats. We are raping the Constitution by this. Let no one have an impression that Eduard Sharmazanov is fighting for his position or mandate.  I have served to my nation from this post for 8 years, and if necessary, I’ll tell you what I did and when they do half of what I have done, I will say, ‘well done’,” Eduard Sharmazanov said.

He also mentioned what he had did on international platforms, in the days of the April war, and so on. ”Neither my hands are in blood, nor there is someone else’s money in my pockets. I have not stolen money from anyone or from the budget. This is not a fight for the mandate,” the NA Vice President said.
