After the inauguration of the cabinet members on May 21, the reporters expressed their dissatisfaction to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
They first mentioned that they learned late that the inauguration ceremony would be open to all journalists, as it had already been announced that it was closed. Just a few minutes before the ceremony, Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page that it was open and the media could be present. Journalists were interested why it was decided to hold it open.
“There are realities that we should take into account, we should not take the inertia of old times and I, frankly speaking, learned half an hour before the event that the event would be closed, and after consultation with the President we made such a decision, that the format should be changed,” the Prime Minister said.
He noted that he was sorry that not all the media have managed to join the ceremony. “I think the protocol service will make conclusions and will not close the doors without any need,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
