The SME Cooperation Association has issued a statement to small and medium entrepreneurs operating in Armenia to collect today’s issues of concern of SMEs, which will be scrutinized as soon as possible by the efforts of the expert groups of the Association and affiliate companies, will be classified according to legislative and conceptual groups, discussions, hearings will be organised related to these issues and proposals will be developed.

The statement reads:

“Dear representative of a small and medium enterprise (hereinafter referred to as the SME), SME Cooperation Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association), is a non-political, independent non-governmental organisation founded on the membership of SMEs and their representatives having the aim to protect the small and middle-business entrepreneurs, their legitimate interests, to promote public-private dialogue, and to improve the legislative framework for SMEs.

Taking into account the statutory goals of the organisation, highly appreciating the readiness of the political will to solve the current state-private dialogue and the problems existing in our country.

We hereby request you:

1. To send the problems that you think hinder the development of SMEs in the country to [email protected] e-mail address of the Association;
2. To participate in public-private dialogue, to be involved in the identification, discussion and solution of these issues;
3. To assist constructive dialogue in our country to make business interests more effective, contributing to the strengthening of the existing and emerging social structures and unions.

The Association, in cooperation with the experts’ groups of its partner business entities and EBRD Business Assistance Office, will collects in the shortest terms, process the issues that you send, according to the legislative, application and discretionary groups around which discussions, hearings, and develop proposals, which further will be submitted to the RA state bodies as a unified package of proposals.”
