The Union of Armenian Communities has issued a statement, which says:
“We, the leaders of the Armenian communities, are deeply concerned about the long and deep crisis in the country that threatens our statehood and security,
In these days, it is absolutely not important for anyone who and which party represents. We all are citizens of the Republic of Armenia,
Based on the collective mandate given to us by our people, we strongly demand from all the political forces, all the four factions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
– Commitment to statehood, stability of the state, security of our country and the rights of our citizens and high political responsibility,
– Immediately and without a precondition to sit in a dialogue, and immediately and jointly inform about it to the citizens of Armenia,
– To stop political actions throughout the negotiations,
– To make statements releasing the tension,
– In the next few days, jointly develop and present to the public a roadmap for resolving the crisis that should be based on the requirements of the law, the Constitution and the people.
It should include:
- a) Mutually agreed time period for extraordinary elections of the RA National Assembly;
- b) Before the RA NA extraordinary elections, the full and mutually agreed composition of the RA provisional government.
