NA MP Nikol Pashinyan said during a march on 25 April that the people are not naïve and will not agree to see Karen Karapetyan as prime minister.
“Karen Karapetyan did not understand what we were saying. The Prime Minister must be elected in the National Assembly. He/she should be nominated by the factions of the National Assembly, and the people should give their consent about any candidate in the square before that,” Pashinyan said.
If extraordinary parliamentary elections are announced, they will be actively boycotted, he said. “In the meantime, through an active boycott, that the elections will not take place. Because the people have won and the people’s victory should be recorded now,” he said.
In response to the question, if there are elections, will they again be falsified; Pashinyan replied that this is not the issue. “The point is that the people have won and the people’s victory should be recorded,” he said.
