The Appeal against the precautionary measure detention of Arthur Sargsyan, who had provided the ”Sasna Tsrer” members with food has been rejected, this was noted by his defender Tigran Egoyan.
The advocate mentioned that they had not received the judicial act yet and had not got acquainted with the justification, however the justification for rejection was stipulated by the ”absence of the court”.
During a briefing with journalists another defender of Davit Gyurjyan noted that they are going to appeal against the decision in the Court of Cassation.
Let us remind that on July 26 Arthur Sargsyan after breaking into the police chain with his car, provided food to ‘‘Sasna Tsrer” members who had attacked the Police Patrol Service Regiment. An accusation was brought against him according to Article 218, Part 3 (1) (on taking hostages) and Article 235, Part 3 (on illegal acquisition of ammunition, its consumption, storage and transmission), later the accusation was requalified as support to maintaining and carrying weapon and keeping hostages. The Advocate Davit Gyurjyan also mentioned that Sargsyan had not accepted the accusation brought against him and had rejected to give a testimony.
