The Government approved the package of RA Draft Laws on amending The RA law on Citizenship and the RA Code on Administrative Offences.
The laws were developed to ensure the fulfillment of the relevant instruction given by the Prime Minister. Consequently, the RA citizen, in case of acquiring or obtaining citizenship of another country, will no longer apply to the authorized body and will not be subjected to administrative liability according to the defined procedure, as the fulfillment of the mentioned duty is not considered to be a condition of realization of the rights for RA citizens.
The Government approved the draft law on amendments and additions of the RA Law on Gambling and Casinos.
The adoption of the law is stipulated by the amendment the RA Law on Licensing. According to the latter: “the type of online gambling” activity is subject to licensing instead of the former simple procedure of licensing.
According to the statement, prior to the adoption of the law, “Organizing online gambling” was considered to be a type of activity subject to licensing with simple procedure, which did not allow inspections in places in compliance with the requirements of the RA Law on “Gambling and Casinos” and the RA law on the Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)”.
The regulation aims to provide a unified approach towards the control and organization of profit seeking gambling activity. In particular, the requirements of the RA Law on Gambling and Casinos will equally be distributed on online gambling as well.
