Spokesperson of the Police of Armenia Ashot Aharonyan wrote on his Facebook page that in the recent days minors have also participated in the demonstrations organized in the Khorenatsi Street and the Liberty Square.
He noted, “Possible dangers cannot be ignored in the case of their further participation in such events. Considering their age, minors cannot adequately assess the situation and the changes therein, as well as the actions of the crowd and their consequences. Moreover, there might be people with bad intentions who can harm the children, taking advantage of the non-standard situation. Thus, we urge parents to be attentive to their children, not to leave them without control and not to allow them to participate in rallies. We also urge the organizers and participants of rallies to constantly keep in focus the minors appearing in the zone of assemblies out of the control of their parents, observe their conduct and moves, and immediately address policemen in case of suspicious situations related to children. Ensuring children’s security is a common goal for all of us.”
