An accusation has been brought against “Sasna Tsrer” group member Hovhannes Harutyunyan under the Article 219, Part 3 and Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the RA. During the night in the neutral zone of the Police Patrol Service Regiment shooting had taken place and because of that Hovhannes and another member of the armed group Ashot Petrosyan had been taken to the hospital.
Lyudvig Avetisyan, an attorney at the Office of Public Defender, has taken the mission of defending Hovhannes Harutyunyan’s rights. He noted that the member of the armed group didn’t find himself guilty and hadn’t given testimony.
As Mr. Avetisyan says, “Hovhannes has been operated, now he is able to talk and communicate but is not able to move.”
Previously, another piece of information was spread that the relatives and attorneys of the armed group members taken to the hospital were not permitted to visit them. However, Avetisyan noted that both he and Hovhannes’s relatives had easily entered the hospital to see the young fellow.
