“Our demands are to release all hostages and to stop further escalation of the situation. Put down their weapons and surrender to authorities,” Mr Poghosyan said and added that currently negotiations are underway.
He spoke about the police actions during yesterday’s actions in the Liberty Square. Police arrested several dozen people. According to Mr. Poghosyan, they all have been released.
The Deputy Chief of Police informed that the people who will disturb the public order shall be detained. Those who are law abiding will not be called to responsibility.
