MP of NKR NA Hayk Khanumyan wrote on his Facebook page:
“I follow the developments since in the morning on 17 July at starting at 6.30 pm. I am in direct telephone contact with the group members. I know many of them personally. I see the solution of the issue in the following way: Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree to grant mercy to Volodya Avetisyan, Zhirayr Sefilyan, Shant Harutyunyan and friends, Hayk Kyoureghyan, Gevorg Safaryan. The armed group puts down their arms and surrender. They shall be punished according to the law. Otherwise, bloodshed is inevitable. Dozens of victims are inevitable. I, know well the members of the group, otherwise they will choose a dignified death.”
