Today, the Government established the procedures for the selection and dismissal, powers, the operation procedures, guarantees of the Human Rights Defender, as well as the legal status of the Defender’s staff.
Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan presented a draft, which provides all these provisions. The Government approved the draft and sent it to the National Assembly. Hovik Abrahamyan addressed the Minister and noted that it is necessary to organize discussions with the civil society representatives and the political parties.
