On the night of April 15 to 16 the situation along the line of contact between the Armed Forces of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan remained unchanged. The enemy more than 70 times violated the verbal agreement on the maintenance of the cease fire on contact line, using different caliber weapons. As a result of violation the verbal agreement on the maintenance of the cease fire on the northern direction of the line of contact (Talish) at about 02:15 as a result of the incident released by the enemy, service man Gagik Khurshudyan got a penetrating gunshot wound in the left arm.
In response to the attacks of the Azerbaijani armed forces, NKR Defense Army vanguard subdivisions resorted to preventive measures and suppress the enemy.
The NKR forces remained committed to the verbal arrangement achieved between the parties and undertook retaliatory steps only in emergency cases.
