Medvedev to Visit Armenia: What did the RF and RA Prime Ministers discuss during Their Telephone Conversation?

As the website of the RF Governments reports, RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with his RA counterpart Hovik Abrahamyan.

It is mentioned that Medvedev expressed his deep concern over the escalation of the situation in Nagorno Karabakh and emphasized both the necessity of maintaining ceasefire and the importance of resuming the political resolution process for this conflict.

Medvedev confirmed that on 7-8 April he will be in Armenia on an official visit, as it had been arranged previously. A comprehensive discussion with the RA Government on economy, energy, transport infrastructures, and other issues is envisaged.

On 8 April, a visit to Azerbaijan will follow.

During the telephone conversation Medvedev and Hovik Abrahamyan also discussed Kazakhstan’s suggestion to hold the session of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union in Moscow next week.
