On 30 July 2015, the RA Traffic Police filed a claim to the RA Administrative Court against the MP Arakel Movsisyan, with request to seize 300.000 AMD (three hundred thousand).
The plaintiff’s claim informed that by the decision of the RA Traffic Police and pursuant to Article 124.4, Part 4 of the RA Code on “Administrative Offense” the respondent was imposed a fine of 200.000 AMD.
According to Article 305, Part 4 of the same law the amount of the unpaid fine was increased by 50 percent and amounted to 300.000 AMD. The decision took effect on 01.04.2015 and became indisputable on 01.06.2015.
Although properly informed about time and place, the defendant was not present at the proceeding and did not present response to the claim.
According to the decision of the RA “Traffic Police” service, on 02.03.2015, at 17:41 Arakel Movsisyan was driving at the speed of 126 km/h on Yerevan-Etchmiadzin highway, thus extracting the possible deviation of 10 km/h of the speed measuring device, he exceeded the allowed speed by 56 km/h. According to Article 124.4, Part 4 of the RA Code on “Administrative Offense” he was subjected to the responsibility which Arakel Movsisyan received on 01.04.2015.
The RA Administrative Court presided by the judge Ani Harutyunyan decided to meet the claim of the RA Traffic Police and seize 300 thousand AMD from Arakel Movsisyan in favor of Traffic Police.
The Court also decided to seize 6 thousand AMD from Arakel Movsisyan in favor of the Traffic Police as compensation for the paid state duty.
