Yesterday, President Serzh Sargsyan issued a decree appointing Grigor Hovhannissian as Armenia’s Ambassador to the United States. Prior to this appointment, he was the RA Ambassador in the United Mexican States in 2013 and from 2014 concurrently the RA Ambassador to Cuba, Guatemala, Panama and Costa Rica.
However, Grigor Hovhannissian has submitted declaration on income and property only for 2013. The declarations on income and property as of th date of assuming the office and the date of leaving the office are missing. His spouse and children have not submitted declarations either.
According to the declaration submitted in 2013, Grigor Hovhannissian had 12 million AMD at the beginning of the year, which by the end of the year decreased and totaled to 10 million AMD. The income was received only in the form of remuneration for work and totaled to 13 million AMD and 30 thousand USD.
