The USAID is assisting the RA Government to implement Armenia’s 2015-2018 Anti-Corruption Strategy.
According to the draft approved at today’s Government Session about 750.000 USD should be provided to achieve this purpose; to form an experts’ committee and to obtain technical capacity. Mr. davit Harutyunyan, Minister – Chief of RA Government Staff introduced the Draft.
The allocated funds will be directed to the realization of the following three goals.
1. Creation of an Expert Committee to work with the Anti-Corruption Council.
2. Operation of the 2015-2018 Anti-Corruption Strategy
3. Development and Implementation of the Strategy program for communication with the interested parties.
Actions and initiatives necessary for the implementation of the program should be finished in 2017.
The total project cost is estimated at US $ 806.390, which is expected to provide the following way: USAID compensation expenses – USD749.110, Grantee contribution of USD 57.280.
Notably, at the first session of the Anti-Corruption Council, which was held on 28 July 2015, the Agreement to be signed with the USAID and the initial versions of the attached documents were approved.
