Arman Mkrtumyan, the Chairman of the Court of Cassation was appointed to this position on 17 September 2008. According to the Declaration on Income and Assets of the high-ranking officials he had 170.790 USD and 4.2 million drams at the beginning of 2011 and 185.790 USD and 3 million AMD at the end of the year. During this year his assets totaled to 16.5 million AMD of which 5.5 million AMD were generated from the loans and the rest of the money from his salary.
In 2012, his assets increased by 2 million AMD and at the end of the year he had 185 790 USD and 5 million AMD. His income also increased totaling to 17.4 million AMD of which 5 million 850 thousand AMD was generated from the loans and the rest from the salary.
In 2013, the assets of the Chairman of the Court of Cassation increased by 18 million AMD due to the received donation. At the end of the year he had 24 million AMD and 185.790 USD. During this year his income amounted to 36 million 427 thousand AMD of which 18 million generated from the above mentioned donation and 6 million 121 thousand AMD generated from the interests of the lent money, and more than 12 million AMD was received from the salary.
In 2014, Arman Mkrtumyan purchased a land worth 1.2 million AMD. His assets decreased in this year and 24 million AMD turned to 5 million AMD, and 185.790 USD remained unchanged. In spite of the decrease of the assets A. Mkrtumyan had more income in this year which totaled to 21 million 104 thousand AMD: he received 6 million 261 thousand AMD from the interests of the lent money and the rest of the money from the salary.
In 2011, Marine Mkrtumyan, Arman Mkrtumyan’s wife had 40 thousand USD savings that remained unchanged during that year. However her income totaled to 60.256 AMD during the whole year which she received from the salary.
In 2012, her assets continued to remain the same but her income significantly increased by 4 million 306 thousand AMD from the salary. In 2013 her assets remained the same again totaling to 40 thousand USD, and the income from the work done amounted to 4.2 million AMD.
But in 2014 Marine Mkrtumyan sold a land with 4.8 million AMD and purchased a mansion house built on the land worth 29 million 166 thousand AMD.
It is interesting that she didn’t have other income but the money received due to selling of the land and her assets decreased only by 10 thousand USD. At the end of the year she had 30 thousand USD.
Laura Mesropyan, the mother of the Chairman of the Court of Cassation living together with his son, has also presented a declaration on income and assets. In 2011-2014 the only source of her income was her pension and her property and assets have not been declared.
