Criminal case has been initiated against the 67-year-old lecturer of the State Engineering University of Armenia, Hovhannes Petrosyan pursuant to Article 325, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (Forgery, sale or use of forged documents, stamps, seals, letter-heads, and vehicle license plates). The defendant has been charged for sympathetically putting two former students’ (Gurgen V. and Sarkis Kh.) exam marks without their presence obviously putting false marks in the official document of exams assessment. The defendant has admitted the charge and requested to conduct the process in accelerate the procedure of the judicial investigation. Yerevan Shengavit Court of First Instance decided to fine the defendant, recognize Hovhannes Petrosyan guilty according to Article 325, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code 1, and fine him with 350.000 AMD respectively. According to the judgment the defendant should pay at least 30,000 AMD per month.
