On 3 December 2015, the CSOs group of Shirak marz of CSOs’ Anti-Corruption Coalition organized and conducted the anti-corruption round table discussion on the topic “Corruption Risks in Environmental Sector of Lori Marz and the Public Control over them.” The event was organized in the scope of EU Funded “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” project and was held in the AYLA Lori Branch Office.
Representatives from the civil society organizations and law firms as well as law students attended the discussion.
The participants were presented reports on the problems of the sector and discussed the existing corruption risks, as well as the issue of exploitation of Arjut gold mine.
They discussed the possible ways of public influence on the solution of the existing problems and reached agreements on the implementation of further steps.
