On November 5, at 22:50, Kanaker-Zeytun Department received a report from the Operational Management Centre of Yerevan City Department of Police of the Republic of Armenia, informing that a man called and said that at the request of his neighbor’s daughter Emma, he opened the door of their house and found her mother Siranush Karapetyan, born in 1924, dead and in blood, beside her there were pieces of a broken bottle, and the house was in mess. The RA Police informs.
The operative group found out that on November 5, at 22:40 on the bed in one of the houses of Kamarak, 1st Lane, the body of S. Karapetyan was found, with a dint of a glass bottle on her head. As a result of the joint operative measures of officers of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, Yerevan City Department and Kanaker-Zeytun Department of the RA Police, it was found out that on November 4, at 22:30, S. Karapetyan was killed by her grandson, Arman K., born in1987, who had been sentenced before. Arman K. is arrested. A criminal case is initiated under Article 104, Part 2, Clause 8 of the RA Criminal Code. A forensic medical examination has been prescribed. The preliminary investigation is underway.
