Activities of the newly established State-Civil Society Working Platform were discussed at the Ministry of Justice

On 27 October, the RA Minister of justice Arpine Hovhannisyan met with the Judith Margaret Farnworth, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia.

Arpine Hovhannisyan presented the Ministry’s priority programs and the problems that need solutions, as well as discussed a number of issues in this context aimed at strengthening of cooperation with Great Britain, the Ministry of Justice informs.

During the meeting the sides also touched upon the anti-corruption policy, including the activities of the newly established State-Civil Society Working Platform, introduction of the probation service in Armenia, as well as the reforms of legislation referring to discrimination and the protection of human rights.

Ambassador Judith Margaret Farnworth thanked the minister from the warm reception and expressed readiness to make the cooperation between the two countries in the justice system more efficient.
