Over 45 life prisoners went on a hunger strike since yesterday. They are require to review their criminal cases. Gor Ghlechyan, Head of the Public Relations Department of Penitentiary Department at the RA Ministry of Justice confirmed this in the interview with Iravaban.net.
He said that 8 prisoners have applied with the same request to the RA President, the Prosecutor General of the Republic and the Minister of Justice.
According to him at this moment the health condition of the prisoners is satisfactory. The social-psychologists and the staff of the legal department of the penitentiary department are working with them.
