“Computers and the office equipment of the prosecution system have not been innovated during the last 7 years” reads the draft introduced to today’s session of the Government, which the RA Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan introduced.
According to the Draft, the Prosecutor’s Office has 337 staff; each of them needs a PC. In addition, the computers currently in the use the staff, are outdated and do not comply with the current software programs. The incomplete equipment with corresponding PCs, does not allow maintenance of the above mentioned programs in the prosecution units. As a result of inventory carried out in 2014, a great number of office equipment was submitted for writing off, and the system needs to be replenished with appropriate equipment.
Thus, Arpine Hovhannisyan suggested to allocated 39 million AMD or 82 thousand USD from the Government’s reserve funds for 2015, according to the article on economic classification of budget spending, “Administrative Devices”, for the purpose of acquisition of the computer technique to ensure the operation of Mulberry system in the prosecution system.
