The Penitentiary Department of the Ministry of Justice has disseminated a statement referring to the announcement made by the advocates.
Regarding the alert published by the mass media and made by the advocates of “Sasna Tsrer” members, who are kept in the penitentiary of the “Prisoners’ Hospital» of the RA Ministry of Justice informing that no medical treatment is provided by the doctors of “Erebuni” M/C, who were taking care of the injured members of “Sasna Tsrer” group since today, the Penitentiary Service considers necessary to provide explanation.
Since the first day in the penitentiary of the “Prisoners’ Hospital”, the healthcare and treatment of have been predominantly supplied by the medical personnel of the penitentiary.
Referring to the issue that the one medical assistant of “Erebuni” M/C is no longer in the penitentiary to carry out his duties, let us inform that his presence was due to the necessary to exclude all possible post-surgery health problems of the first phase of the detained people operated in the same medical centre.
Currently, we no longer see such a necessity and the penitentiary of the “Prisoners’ Hospital” has all the conditions to insure round-the-clock treatment and the healthcare of the above-mentioned people by the medical personnel of the penitentiary.
