Today, the employees of “Nairit” Plant, who had not received their salary for years, blocked Bagratunyats Street. The participants of the protest action demanded to pay the total sum of their salary debt.
In the interview with Iravaban.net, the member of coordinating group of “Nairit” employees Ms Anush Harutyunyan said that the street was already open, but it was blocked for about one hour. Though the street is currently open, but the protest action is going on.
“They had promised to pay the debt by 15 June, but today, the Director General came and said that certain calculations should be carried out, and also the size of the sum should be specified, and after that we shall have to sign that after receiving the salaries we shall not apply to the court with request of payment of fines and penalties, and only that we shall receive the salary. This means that tomorrow we shall not be paid the salary either, Anush Harutyunyan said.”
She added that they were waiting for the Director General who had gone to the Ministry to find out what we can do. We shall decide our further actions when he is back.
