On 23 June, clash have occurred between the demonstrators against the rise of electricity tariff and the police in Baghramyan Avenue.
Advocate Nikolay Baghdasaryan in reply to the question whether the activities of the police were lawful said that the actions of each employee of the police should be separated and viewed individually in the context of disproprtionality.

For example if the police is informed that a journalist is present at the action, he should mind the journalists is not considered as a participant of the protest action. If anyhow the policemen tries to detain the journalist and bring him to the police department, this act is considered as a criminally punished act.
In the interview with iravaban.net, the advocate mentioned that after studying the issue of Rise of electricity tariffs he does not agree with the Prime Minister, President and other authorities who interpreted it saying the increase does not include the possible amounts that were appropriated as a result of possible misconduct.

“If there were no certain abuses and squandered money, today there should be no necessity to increase the tariffs. We could avoid raising the costs based on the money that we had saved,” said the advocate.

Nikolay Baghdasaryan mentioned that the decision should be canceled and it is necessary to immediately find who had misappropriated the funds.
