On 3 June, a regular working meeting of the Inter-agency Working Group on the Issues of legislative Reforms on the Adoption Issues created by the order of the RA Minister of Justice was held. Suren Krmoyan, the RA Deputy Minister of Justice presided the meeting, the official website of the RA Ministry of Justice informs.
Representatives of the RA Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, Ministry of Labor and Social Issues, Yerevan Municipality, UNISEF Armenia Office and Save the Children Armenia as well as the Head and responsible officials of the RA Civil Status Acts Registration Agency at the RA Ministry of Justice attended the meeting.
During the meeting, according to the agenda, the participants referred to the opinion of the Social Department of the RA Government about the Improved Draft Law on Making Changes and Amendments in the RA Family Code; The Summary Recommendations of the International Experts of UNISEF Armenia Office on adoption and interstate adoption, and the recommendations provided by Save the Children Organization.
The participants discussed different issues, among them the issues on the reforms in custody, care and adoption institutes, the changes in the RA Family Code which will guarantee the child’s rights and decrease the corruption risks in the sphere, as well as the necessity to organize trainings for the adoptive parents, etc.
