Surik Khachatryan, Governor of Syunik Marz was questioned with regard to the incident that took place in the area called “Sdkhi Gyol” in Goris. Iravaban.net learned this from Sona Truzyan the Adviser to the President of the RA Investigative Committee.
“Different people are being interrogated under this criminal case. Surik Khachatryan, Governor of Syunik Marz has been interrogated as well,” Ms Truzyan aid and added that other details are not for publication.
The incident took place on 2 May, and the case is currently in the proceeding of the General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases. Prior to this different people were questioned and search operations were performed.
The name of the Governor’s son is connected with this case: According to the information of Armtimes.com. Surik Khachatryan told that his son Tigran Khachatryan had no connection with the scuffle that occurred in Goris. According to Surik Khachatryan his son was not the initiator of the scuffle he was just trying to calm the participants.
