Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan and Defense Minister Suren Papikyan have submitted to the Ethics Committee declarations of gifts received in May and June.
According to Iravaban.net, during the visit of the parliamentary delegation headed by Parliament Speaker to Astana on May 15, Alen Simonyan received a gift – Kazakhstan’s national costume (hat and robe).
The gift was given by the Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, Maulen Ashimbayev.
He valued the received gift at 187,128 drams.
During the same visit, he received from the Chairman of the Majilis of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, Yerlan Koshanov, a tea set, milk jug, sugar bowl, and 6 cups with saucers.

During an official visit on May 18-21, within the framework of the visit of the delegation headed by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, Anita Dimitriou, Simonyan received from her a copper sculpture depicting the island.

Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, on May 20, received from the Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Aziz Nasirzadeh, within the framework of the official visit of the IRI Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support to Armenia, a handcrafted copper landscape in a wooden frame measuring 90×70 cm, titled “Isfahan Manzikert.”
