As the Vice President for International Affairs of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, Marat Atovmyan noted that he will ensure the Armenian Lawyers’ Association’s cooperation with international legal structures in various directions and establish bilateral relations with other countries.

During recent events in St. Petersburg, Marat Atovmyan gave a lecture at the local Polytechnic University on proper corruption management and integrity, and also spoke at a conference on legal protection issues for businesses.

Together with Karen Zadoyan, the President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, he also visited Hong Kong, where the 50th anniversary of the founding of the anti-corruption body was celebrated in May. A large international event was organized in connection with this anniversary, attended by about 500 representatives from different countries.

“We had numerous meetings with the heads of anti-corruption bodies from Hong Kong, Italy, and Malaysia, reached certain agreements, and also met with the Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the European Union. We had quite productive meetings,” noted Marat Atovmyan.

In our conversation, he also spoke about the Armenian Lawyers’ Association’s future tasks, development programs, the continuity of organizing student scientific conferences, and the importance of the anti-corruption school organized by the ALA.
