During the discussion of reforms in the justice sector, the measures of reforms of the justice sector and the new system of evaluation of judges, the member of the SJC, Yeranuhi Tumanyants, said that the work with judges, which she had the honor to do in the last one and a half years, “got an intellectual bunch of people” who are dedicated to their work.

“After 2018, quite serious processes of self-cleansing took place, and I am sure that they will continue if there are certain manifestations. As for the evaluation system, I must mention that it is important, and by cutting the judges off their work even for a day or two, I emphasize this measure so much that this is about justice for the judges themselves. We expect justice from the judges, the implementation of justice, but we ourselves still cannot say that the judges themselves have a fair system for them,” she said.

Tumanyants pointed out that, unfortunately, today’s evaluation system does not fully reflect the expectations that we want to have.
