Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan is in Goris. In a briefing with journalists, she said that she came to familiarize herself with the situation on the spot.
“From the very first moment, first aid service was organized both in Kornidzor and Goris. Our therapists and pediatricians will conduct an initial consultation. Our forcibly displaced compatriots are also in a rather serious state of health. Being under siege for 10 months, mostly malnourished, without medication for chronic diseases for a long time, that’s why it is very important for us to provide them with first aid at the very first point. When we understand that there is a need for hospitalization, the ambulances take them to the hospital,” the Minister said.
According to her, about 60-70 people from forcibly displaced people receive treatment in RA hospitals, but that number is constantly changing.
“As for the victims of the explosion, I should say that the serious process is still ongoing and we have patients in extremely serious condition and doctors are fighting to save their lives. More than 140 patients were transferred with burns,” she said.
Anahit Avanesyan said that in the near future, identification of the bodies of those killed in the explosion will also begin.
“People were on the roads for more than 40 hours and deaths were recorded during that time.
“Forcible displacement also has painful consequences, which we are witnessing today. People were exhausted, without even basic necessities, they were on the road for 40 or more hours, in traffic jams, and such consequences were inevitable,” the Minister noted
