The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Narek Mkrtchyan, received the representatives of the non-governmental organizations dealing with the issues of Armenian refugees and displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan SSR and Nakhichevan.

The purpose of the meeting was to listen and highlight the issues of labor and social protection and related fields collected by the organizations, to present their proposals and observations. In this context, a number of issues related to socio-economic rights, state assistance programs for housing security, implemented recent changes, and job security were mainly discussed.

Representatives of non-governmental organizations made suggestions and observations regarding the improvement of existing programs and the possibilities of implementing new initiatives. The proposals voiced by them were collected to discuss the issues within the scope of the ministry’s powers, and the issues related to other areas were highlighted. An agreement to organize separate discussions in the coming days with the participation of the representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs was reached.
