A disciplinary proceeding against Notary is initiated and the disciplinary sanctions are applied upon him/her by the Minister of Justice on his/her own initiative or upon the proposal of the Notary Chamber.

Disciplinary proceedings may not be initiated if a year has passed since the offense, except for the cases provided by law, for which disciplinary proceedings may be initiated in case when three years have passed since the infringement took place.
Disciplinary proceedings may not be instituted against a notary, and the initiated proceeding may be dismissed the terms of the disciplinary proceeding provided by law have expired.
