Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Gevorg Simonyan will be released from detention.

The Criminal Court of Appeals satisfied the appeal of the lawyer of the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Gevorg Simonyan and abolished the measure of restraint detention against Simonyan.

Earlier, we reported  that the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings under investigation by the Anti-Corruption Committee revealed factual data that the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan G. Simonyan, 2020-2022 while occupying the position of RA Deputy Minister of Health, he did not fulfill his official duties due to personal interest, as a result of which significant damage was caused to the legal interests of the state.
