The First Meeting of the Working Group to develop Anti-Corruption Strategy took place: RA Ministry of Justice

The first meeting of the working group created to develop the Anti-Corruption Strategy and its Implementation Action Plan for 2023-2026 took place.

In the opening speech, Mr. Karen Karapetyan, Deputy Minister of Justice, Head of the Working Group, thanked the representatives of state bodies and non-governmental organizations for being included in the working group.

During the session, the Deputy Minister of Justice briefly referred to the works initiated and implemented in the direction of the development of this strategy. He presented the vision of the main directions of the strategy to the discussion of the working group, and also proposed the schedule for the implementation of the works.

Various proposals regarding the methodology for the strategy development, main directions, needs formats for needs collection and further steps of organizing the work were made during the meeting,

It is planned to conduct the inventory of needs as soon as possible and start developing the Strategy and measures for its implementation. The preliminary version of the Strategy for discussion in the working group is expected to be available in April.

The working group, which has been formed in accordance with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s recommendation issued at the meeting of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council on 11 February, includes 34 representatives of state bodies and non-governmental organizations.
