Judge Ruzanna Barseghyan’s powers were terminated due to reaching the age limit for judges

On 13 February, the Supreme Judicial Council adopted a decision to terminate the powers of the judge.

“Based on the fact that Ruzanna Hakobi Barseghyan, judge of the Criminal Court of Appeals, will turn 65 on 18 February, 2023, and guided by Article 166, Part 8 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, Article 89, Part 1, Point 9 of the Constitutional Law “Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia”, Article 160 part 1, point 2 and Article 160 Part 3, as well as Article 94, Part 1, the Supreme Judicial Council

Decides

  1. In connection with the reaching the age limit for judges, the powers of Ruzanna Hakob Barseghyan, judge of the Criminal Court of Appeals, shall be deemed terminated from 18 February, 2023,” the decision states.
