Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan discussed today with Thierry Ribault, the head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the possibilities of preventing the dangers of a health crisis in Artsakh due to the blocking of movement in the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan from 12 December, 2022 until today.

The Ministry of Health informed.

The Minister noted that one patient was transferred from Artsakh to Yerevan with the support of the ICRC, but at this moment there is still the need for immediate transfer of patients in extremely critical condition.

During the meeting, the possibility of transporting patients from Artsakh, delivering medicine and baby food in cooperation with ICRC was discussed.

Thierry Ribault noted that ICRC has an office in Stepanakert, through which it continues to carry out a humanitarian mission and is ready to mediate on the organization of medical aid and drug supply.

Minister Avanesyan also emphasized the importance of providing specialized psychological support to the population in Artsakh.
