On October 5 of this year, at 17:51 local time (at 13:51 Greenwich time), the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia registered an earthquake at the geographical coordinates of 38.31 north latitude and 45.19⁰ east longitude from the city of Khoy, Iran. 34 km southeast, 10 km depth, 5.1 magnitude. The strength of the underground shock in the epicenter zone was 7 points.
The earthquake was felt in Syunik Marz with a magnitude of 4 points, Vayots Dzor, Ararat marzes with a magnitude of 2-3 points.
