On 13 September, 2022, during the attack of the Azerbaijani armed forces, the senior of combat position N, mandatory conscript soldier, junior sergeant Taron Mher Galoyan stopped the advance of the enemy and provided fire support to the neighboring positions by accurately directing the artillery fire.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reported.
The battle position personnel regularly provided accurate targeting to mortar battery of the infantry battalion to halt the enemy advance, driving back attacking assault groups causing them heavy casualties.
The personnel of the combat position destroyed the enemy’s ammunition stocks with skillful and confident actions, and the mandatory conscript, Sergeant Hovhannes Robert Harutyunyan, destroyed the enemy’s manpower with a “KORD” type machine gun and completely burned the enemy’s base.
