Arman has been my student. He was drafted into the army in June last year. Arman was a bright boy who liked to joke. Arman’s teacher said this in a conversation with Iravaban.net.

“I never saw him without a smile.

20-year-old Arman Sargsyan was the youngest child in the family. He has an elder brother. I am experiencing indescribable pain.”, she noted.

Arman was from Malishka village of Vayots Dzor marz.

It should be reminded that, on 6 September, the Ministry of Defense issued a message stating:

On the evening of 5 September, in the combat position located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone, according to preliminary data, a mandatory conscript soldier, junior sergeant Arman Gagiki Sargsyan (born in 2002) was fatally wounded by a shot fired by the enemy.

Materials regarding the fact are being prepared in the Garrison investigative department.

The Investigative Committee reported that criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the murder of conscript Arman Gagik Sargsyan, pursuant to Article 155, Part 2, Clauses 1 and 15 of the RA Criminal Code.

According to preliminary information, on 5 September 2022, around 10:15 p.m., a soldier of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan fired a shot in the direction of a combat position located in the guard station of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, as a result of which Arman Gagiki Sargsyan, a mandatory conscript of the same military unit, received a fatal gunshot wound in the head.
