Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan will remain in custody. The Criminal Court of Appeal, presided over by Judge Rubik Mkhitaryan, rejected the appeal against the decision to reject Arushanyan’s motion for bail.
It should be reminded that on 8 February, the issue of changing Arush Arushanyan’s pre-trial detention was examined in the Criminal Court of Appeal.
Arushanyan has been detained since 16 July, 2021. The mayor of Goris was charged with Article 35-154.2, Part 4, Clause 2 of the RA Criminal Code, Article 38-149, Part 2, Clause 4, Article 38-154.2, Part 3 of the RA (breach of secrecy of vote, obstruction of the exercise of the right to vote).
