On 5 February, 2022, at around 12:00, a large-caliber machine gun fired from an Azeri military post located in the area called “Oghten mashk” near the town of Askeran, in the direction of the workers G.B., A.T. and A.H. of the stone processing point of the LLC, who were currently repairing the tractor in the administrative area of Khramort village of in the Askeran region.

In order to protect themselves from the shots fired, before the arrival of the police officers, the workers had to hide for about two hours, during which time they called and informed their management about the incident.
Criminal-investigative measures are being taken by the Police of the Artsakh Republic to find out the circumstances of the incident.
The Askeran District Prosecutor’s Office of the Artsakh Republic supervises the legality of pre-trial criminal proceedings.
