Baku handed over 8 prisoners of war to Yerevan: RIA Novosti

Baku handed over to Yerevan eight Armenian servicemen arrested in November 2021 on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. NRIA Novosti reported, citing the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens of Azerbaijan.

“Guided by the principle of humanism, on 7 February, 2022, the Republic of Azerbaijan returned eight Armenian servicemen to Armenia,” the statement reads.

The Azerbaijani side arrested the mentioned persons on 16 November, 2021, on the state border with Armenia, in the direction of Karvachar.
