The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Institute of Molecular Biology of the National Academy of Sciences and the Armenian-Russian University, continues to carry out molecular genetic tests on samples of patients with coronavirus disease with positive PCR.
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention informed.
Samples are taken from patients with double-positive PCR, patients with coronavirus disease, and those who with positive PCR entering the country by air.
As a result of continuous laboratory tests, the “Omicron” strain was found in the tested 7 samples.
Given the epidemic situation, the Ministry of Health once again urges to continue to follow the anti-epidemic rules and to be vaccinated, as in the context of regularly emerging new strains, particularly Omicron, vaccines, especially in booster doses, are especially needed.
